Welcome to the homepage of Aaron Albin!
Statement of Research InterestsI am currently a graduate student working towards my M.A. in Linguistics at Indiana University, Bloomington. While interested in Japanese linguistics in general, my primary research interest lies in the linguistic uses of pitch in Japanese, i.e. accent, intonation, etc. In exploring this topic, I hope to contribute to the modeling of the phonetics-phonology interface and to improve pedagogy in the JSL/JFL (Japanese as a Second/Foreign Language) classroom. I also have done work in the syntactic structure and the second language acquisition of the English noun phrase and have been involved in amateur lexicography for over a decade. I hope to eventually develop the latter project into a kanji dictionary for learners of Japanese. Contact InformationMy e-mail address is the following address minus the word 'remove'.
